Pivotando y reiniciando TecnoTribu.comAfter a long lethargy of almost 2 years,
TecnoTribu becomes active again :)

The initial focus on 2009 was all about making a safe and secure social network for kids, but the prototype had never been released as a public version. The current mission is different, but keeps the aim to create an online place for the whole family, even kids, where people can create, learn and share safely online. 

The project is starting over from january 2012, debuting with a new international platform in 3 languages and with a new mission:

TecnoTribu is the new way to create and share your favorite stuff or topics in a socially responsible network, suitable for all audiences.

Tetuan Valley Startup School

Hopefully lessons learned and experience of making constant market benchmarking, will drive us and this is not like starting from scratch. We are able now to make some early release in a matter of weeks. 

Furthermore, we have the privilege to make it happen at this early stage with the Tetuan Valley ecosystem, a pre-accelerator of Internet startups, which strongly focuses on developing the Startup Spain initiative @StartSpain. We are part of the amazing 10 teams of the sixth edition of Tetuan Valley Startup School (Spring 2012).  We all share the common goal of completing the program in April 2012 with a minimum viable product (MVP).

The TecnoTribu team consists of its founders Nieves Martínez Martín (@NievesMM) and Pedro Sánchez Pernia (@PedroSP). We also have a "very special" contribution of two leading experts in teenager social media...

So, we will tell our news in this blog - what we've achieved not just promises - on Twitter and on Facebook. Indeed, we used the new timeline Facebook feature, to do a flashback and tell our story from the very beginning.

Infancia digital

Si nos preocupaba el uso que pudieran hacer los adolescentes de Internet o de las nuevas tecnologías (consolas, móvil, etc...), nos damos cuenta ahora del impacto silencioso pero seguro que está teniendo Internet en los (mucho) más pequeños. Cada vez mas, estos peques tienen una lista increíble en messenger o incluso en skype , "googlean" naturalmente para los trabajos de clase y se están acostumbrado a tener acceso inmediato a la información.

Hoy he asistido con mis hijas a unas jornadas de internet dirigidas a la infancia organizadas por Red.es. Una carpa tipo circo, con actividades interactivas acompañadas de monitores, muestran a los peques cómo disfrutar de internet pero también las reglas básicas para protegerse de lo peor, desgraciadamente al alcance de su vulnerabilidad. El mejor consejo sería navegar siempre acompañado, al igual que deberían hacerlo si salen a la calle. El enfoque me pareció muy acertado y desde mi experiencia de padre os recomiendo que os paséis por allí si estáis por Madrid hasta el 22 de junio.

Las actividades y lo que buscan los mas pequeños en la red es bastante diferente con respecto a lo que buscan los adolescentes. Es un tema que me interesa especialmente, y he descubierto también hoy la campaña de chaval.es enfocado a este colectivo con enlaces curiosos, aunque muchos sitios webs insisten en el lado educativo visto desde la perspectiva docente o de un adulto. Hay muy buenas excepciones como este simpático juego que consiste en "espachurrar" arañas en una ventana, muy divertido ! Más jueguecitos sencillos y muy, muy adictivos aquí. (Somos como críos...)
